My approach to counseling is rooted in the understanding that we are inherently WHOLE. There is much more right with us than wrong with us and we do not need to be "fixed".
My style is collaborative, respectful, and kind, which I have been told makes it easy for others to feel at ease. I speak to clients the same way I would speak to a friend or any other person in my life. My personality is accepting and down-to-earth that others find relatable and approachable. I am passionate about a holistic approach to therapy and emphasize the importance of developing healthy habits.
Every teenager needs a nonjudgmental sounding board. As parents, you may be too biased for this role or not well-received by your child. I can become this person for your teen and my office can become their safe haven. I help teens find freedom from their emotions, so they can make healthy choices, cope with life on life’s terms and focus on what's important to them. We do this through lots of support, skill-building, “real talk”, and humor.
Unfortunately, we are not issued a manual as we transition to adulthood. I provide guidance to adults wishing to explore, understand, or define their identities and values - whether it be related to education, work, relationships, family, leisure, health or personal growth. Counseling can be a wonderful resource to help you restore a sense of purpose and meaning to your life..
As a mindfulness coach, I share mindfulness practices with my clients in a genuine, real way. Mindfulness allows us to be more present and engaged in our lives in the here and now. We do this by learning how to notice what's happening...both inside and outside of our selves. I find that even small amounts of mindfulness practice can be beneficial. And no...you don't have to sit cross legged on the floor with your eyes closed to practice mindfulness (but you can)!

I live in the city with my husband and our two dogs, Cedric (miniature Schnauzer) and Kona (Chihuahua mix). We have 8 nieces and nephews, so are always busy keeping up with them. I love working out (strength training, yoga, and spin), cooking, watching Netflix, traveling, and practicing self-care (meditation, massage, reading). I am committed to my own personal journey of learning and growth. so we are in this together!
